Landhotel “Am Zault” in Duesseldorf-Unterbach: Welcome to the old tollhouse, this is what “Am Zault” means. It wasn't obvious to our family in 1790 what will come up with the opening of a small coachmen's inn. Today the “Am Zault – Das Landhotel” invites you to linger with a conference center, restaurant and ceremony location. We put together some major facts about our turbulent past:

  • 1790 until 1949
    Foundation as a coachmen's inn with an agricultural smallholding
  • 1949
    Start of lodging with 4 rooms
  • 1956
    Increase of capacity through integrating the attic floor
  • 1963
    Widening of the house through rebuilding the stable into guestrooms. The capacity rose to 36 beds
  • 1966
    Redisigning the inn into a restaurant
  • 1976
    Reconstruction of the “Restaurant”, cessation of lodging due to higher standards of living.
  • 1984
    Building of the Landhotel with its 44 rooms including separate conference rooms
  • 1987
    Through spaciously enhancement of the kitchen and rooms go with it obviously increased its capacity
  • 1988
    Adding a new storey onto the original building
  • 1989
    Reopening of the “Zault Wirtschaft” as the heart of the house
  • 1990/91
    Construction of “Zault-Residence” as an extra building with spacious guestrooms, suites, conference and banquet rooms and sauna-area
  • 1994
    Reopening of the modernised “Feldmann's Saal”
  • 1999
    Renovation of the guestrooms at the original building with conformity to meet higher requirements
  • 2007
    The restaurant was modified into an antique “Restaurant”
  • 2008
    Modernising the bathrooms at the “Landhotel-Building” and redesigning the pavilions going with them
  • 2009
    Heatings redevelopment and installation of three thermal power stations
  • 2011
    Redesigning the terrace-rooms, the terrace, the foyer to the “Feldmann's Saal” and the “Zault Village Center”
  • 2012 until 2014
    Step-by-step renovating of the guestrooms with modern and bright colours, redesigning the “EssZimmer” at the gastronomy und continuously extending the international networking and bookability
  • 2015
    Modification of the reception at the “Landhotel-Building” including the enhancement into a lounge. Redesigning the sauna and recreation area and start of the country and e-bike rental
